Tomb Raider (1996) Will Get a Remake Announcement at The Game Awards 2025

It’s only a matter of time before The Game Awards 2025 show that will happen on December 11. We will find out not only the best games on 2025 in 29 categories but also a lot of new games expected to be announced.

And it seems like we just received an update of new remake that should be officially confirmed at the upcoming event. According to the insider RaidersSociety, remake of Tomb Raider (1996) will be officially announced at The Game Awards 2025. The game is already having a remastered version released last year as part of Tomb Raider 1-2-3 Remastered but it’s seeming like we are getting much more upgraded version of Tomb Raider (1996) with enhances graphics and new gameplay mechanics.

It’s interesting to notice that another insider, V Scooper, recently revealed that new Tomb Raider game, possibly the continuation of Shadow of the Tomb Raider, is in development. He also revealed some details, including the game will be set in India and have a huge open world full of different locations.

Who knows, maybe we will get even two Tomb Raider announcements at The Game Awards 2025 and that will be some really exciting news for the fans.

The Game Awards 2025 is scheduled for December 11.
