Assassin's Creed Actor Didn't Know His Character Will Be Killed Off
We had a huge varieties of iconic Assassin’s Creed protagonists – from Altair to Ezio Auditore, from Edward Kenway to Arno Dorian, etc. Anyway, one of the most important characters to the franchise remains Desmond Miles.
He was the protagonist of many Assassin’s Creed video game and the main character of the modern timeline. Though the character sacrificed himself in Assassin’s Creed III, in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla we find out that his consciousness was transported to the computer simulation. He became The Reader, who served as the one who analyses timelines and do whatever it takes to prevent cataclysms.

But let’s talk more about character’s original “death” and how original actor find he actually died. In the recent interview with YouTube channel Fall Damage, actor Nolan North, who gave his voice to Desmond, revealed that he actually didn’t know his character will be killed at the end of Assassin’s Creed III:
“That technically was Desmond’s death scene, and I didn’t know it. I found out on Twitter. “Are you upset Desmond’s dead? And I’m thinking, what? Because there’s no “Ah”, there’s nothing that you’d expect from a main character’s death, although the good people at Ubisoft have told me that he’s not technically dead”
It’s a little bit weird to hear some kind of a news from original actor, but considering how important Desmond have become for Assassin’s Creed universe after his “death” in third instalment, maybe, it was a right decision from Ubisoft to keep some information from Nolan North.
