The Last of Us actresses revealed what they want to see in a third game

A lot of words can be saying about the narrative of the game, but The Last of Us: Part 2 is surely a project with a quality, a lot of drama and emotions. A lot of fans are hoping that The Last of Us: Part 3 will happen one day although developers from Naughty Dog are fully concentrated on their new IP - Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. Plus, the head of Naughty Dog Neil Druckmann recently revealed that fan's shouldn't expect The Last of Us: Part 3 anytime soon.

Anyway, Ashley Johnson who plays Ellie and Laura Bailey who play Abby both expressed their desire to return in The Last of Us: Part 3. During the interview with The Direct, by promoting new animated series The Mighty Nein, where they both play, actresses were asked what do they want to explore in The Last of Us: Part 3. And both actresses told the same thing - "the happiness". You can see their quotes below:

Ashley Johnson: "Happiness. I don't know, that's the emotion that she hasn't really explored. But also, whatever it is, I would just be so happy to jump back into that world if we get to do that again. And if it would even be telling Ellie's story, we don't know. But yeah, I would love to be any part of what world."

Laura Bailey: "I just want to see Abby happy. Can we just see that? I have no idea what's coming next, but I would love to see her in like a leadership role, because I think she's an amazing leader and I don't think she's had the opportunity to show that or live that."

Naughty Dog are actually started to work on The Last of Us: Part 3 Despite recent Neil Druckmann's words, earlier this year insider Daniel Richtman revealed that. But consider that with a grain of salt, because it's not an official information. Anyway, there definitely a chance we could see The Last of Us: Part 3 happening, for example, after the release of Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, considering how massive the franchise have become for developers.
