Diablo 4 Season 10 Revealed: Infernal Chaos

Blizzard has officially unveiled Season 10 of Diablo 4, titled Infernal Chaos, launching on September 23, 2025. This major update introduces a new boss fight, class-specific Chaos Perks, Chaos Rifts, and a revamped endgame mode, alongside a fresh seasonal questline packed with action.

⚔️ What’s Coming in Season 10

During the September 16 Developer Update livestream, Blizzard shared a full breakdown of Infernal Chaos, including a brand-new gameplay trailer. Key features include:

• Chaos Armor 🛡️ – a twist on Uniques that adds powerful new effects.
• Chaos Perks ✨ – class-specific bonuses unlocked through seasonal reputation, designed to shake up builds.
• New Boss: Bartuc 👹 – the infamous Warlord of Blood returns as the Lord of Chaos.
• Chaos Rifts 🌪️ – dangerous portals appearing in Helltides and Nightmare Dungeons that offer huge rewards once sealed.

Infernal Hordes Reborn

Blizzard is also rebooting the Infernal Hordes endgame mode. This wave-based challenge has been reworked to deliver tougher battles after criticism at the end of 2024, when a major glitch made couch co-op sessions unwinnable.

This update follows the release of the Vessel of Hatred DLC, which introduced the Spiritborn class — initially considered overpowered until balance changes arrived in October 2024.

The Bigger Picture

Season 10 arrives during a significant moment for Blizzard. At the end of August 2025, over 450 Diablo developers voted to unionize, following earlier moves from World of Warcraft staff. This comes after layoffs under Microsoft’s ownership, with the unionization aiming to secure better protections, wages, and benefits for Blizzard employees.
