Nintendo Announces Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2 in One Bundle

Nintendo has officially announced the re-release of Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2. Both games will launch simultaneously on October 2 in physical and digital formats. The bundle will cost $69.99, while each game can be purchased separately for $39.99.

Enhanced Classic Adventures

In the updated versions of these iconic platformers, players will once again join Mario to rescue Princess Peach, collect the stolen Power Stars, and explore cosmic worlds. The second game adds Yoshi to the adventure, along with familiar characters such as Rosalina, Lubba, Bowser, Bowser Jr., Lumas, and Toad. Additionally, players can unlock Luigi under certain conditions.

The games introduce various transformations for Mario:

• Bee Mario — can fly and land on flowers.
• Ghost Mario — passes through obstacles.
• Rock Mario — rolls and destroys objects.
• Ice Mario — slides on ice and freezes enemies.
• Fire Mario — throws fireballs.
• Cloud Mario — creates cloud platforms.

Yoshi in the second game also has new abilities: he can run faster, inflate like a balloon, and highlight hidden platforms.

Technical Improvements

On the Nintendo Switch, the games run in 1080p, while on the Switch 2 they support 4K resolution. Other improvements include an updated interface, new chapters, a help mode for beginners, the ability to listen to the soundtrack, and amiibo support.

Players will be able to jump, run, and explore space once again in two of the best games featuring the beloved mustached plumber this fall.
