Warhorse Releases First DLC for Kingdom Come: Deliverance II Alongside Major Update 1.3

As promised, Czech studio Warhorse has released the first DLC for Kingdom Come: Deliverance II. The expansion introduces a brand-new storyline in which the familiar protagonist, Henry, encounters a mysterious painter known as Master Vojta.

Players can begin the new content almost immediately after the prologue, with quests spanning both in-game maps. The story begins near Trosky Castle, where Henry must rescue the captive artist. From there, Vojta enlists Henry’s help in finding inspiration to create a true masterpiece.

Uncovering the Past and Painting Shields

The DLC goes beyond just a search for artistic muses. As the plot unfolds, Henry begins to uncover secrets from Vojta’s mysterious past. The painter also provides a practical service — allowing players to customize their shields with original artwork.

In total, the game now features over 100 unique designs and color combinations, which are gradually unlocked through quest progression and world exploration.

Update 1.3: New Activities and Quality-of-Life Improvements

Alongside the DLC, Warhorse has rolled out Update 1.3, a major patch that adds fresh gameplay features and key fixes:

• Horse races and mounted archery challenges are now available at the gypsy camp, each with varying difficulty levels. These activities come with their own questlines.
• Numerous bug fixes and balance adjustments have been made to enhance the overall gameplay experience.
• Economy improvements: merchants in Kutná Hora now have more money to buy players' excess loot.
• Stronger enemies: players will encounter more high-level opponents with valuable gear in the second region.
• Tavern dice games: new dice players have been added to various inns across the game world.

What’s Next?

Before the end of 2025, two more DLCs are expected:

• “Legacy of the Forge” — focusing on the restoration of a ruined forge in Kutná Hora.
• “Mysteria Ecclesiae” — a monastery investigation in Sedlec aimed at preventing an epidemic.

All three expansions are included in the Season Pass, which comes with the Gold Edition of the game.
