Assassin’s Creed Shadows x Dead by Daylight Crossover

Ubisoft has announced the first special collaboration for Assassin’s Creed Shadows — a crossover with the survival horror hit Dead by Daylight, launching as part of the game’s next update on May 27.

“Step into The Fog,” teases the official Assassin’s Creed social media post. “A new Dead by Daylight quest begins. Slip through the shadows. Survive the ordeal.”

A short teaser video shows protagonists Naoe and Yasuke seated at a campfire, confronted by a mysterious figure radiating ominous red flames from their limbs. While exact details of the crossover remain under wraps, more information is expected closer to launch.

🧭 What’s Coming in the May 27 Update?

Alongside the Dead by Daylight content, this update will include:

• Photo mode enhancements 📸
• Expanded parkour animations 🧗
• The Dead by Daylight crossover quest

This update marks the beginning of Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ post-launch roadmap, which promises a mix of free content drops and special collaborations.

🗓 What’s Next?

Following the May update, a second major update is scheduled for June, featuring:

• A new free story mission
• A new ally who can join your homebase
• Additional difficulty settings
• The option to wear headgear during cutscenes — a fan-favorite request

Further down the line, Ubisoft also plans to introduce:

• New Game Plus mode
• More story missions
• Additional cross-game collaborations

This isn’t Assassin’s Creed’s first foray into crossovers. The series has previously featured:

• Numerous Assassin’s Creed characters appearing in Fortnite

Ubisoft is continuing to embrace creative partnerships to keep Shadows fresh post-launch.
