First Look at the Crossover

An animated trailer debuted at the event, confirming all eight limited-time skins. While additional cosmetics like sprays or weapon charms weren’t shown, fans are already buzzing over the character pairings:

  • Hanzo as Ryu
  • Kiriko as Juri
  • Juno as Chun-Li
  • Widowmaker as Cammy
  • Soldier 76 as Guile
  • Sigma as M.Bison
  • Winston as Blanka
  • Zenyatta as Dhalsim

Pricing for the skins has not yet been revealed.

🏆 Evo Japan 2025 and the Big Reveal

The announcement was shared live during Evo Japan 2025 (May 9–11) and posted to X (formerly Twitter) on May 9. The event is being streamed globally on PlayStation’s official YouTube channel.

This marks a rare crossover between two competitive gaming giants, highlighting Blizzard’s growing focus on global collaborations.

📰 Background and Reactions

Leaks about the crossover surfaced earlier via the PlayStation Store, so the reveal didn’t catch everyone off guard. However, community reactions have been mixed:

  • Popular Twitch streamer Phyerx noted some players are frustrated Kiriko is getting yet another collab skin.
  • Others pointed out Juno is receiving back-to-back cosmetic features.

Despite this, the crossover has generated massive attention in both the Overwatch and Street Fighter communities.

💰 Potential Pricing Speculation

Following the recent Gundam Wing 30th Anniversary event, which priced:

  • Individual skins at 2,800 Overwatch Coins (~$30/£23)
  • Bundles at 5,900 Coins (~$60/£46)

...many fans are speculating the Street Fighter bundle could exceed previous pricing, especially with eight skins in the lineup.

May 21 can’t come soon enough, as fans of both franchises await one of Overwatch 2’s most exciting crossover events to date.
