General Grievous Joins Brawlhalla in New Star Wars Collaboration Event

Ubisoft and Blue Mammoth Games have officially announced that General Grievous, the iconic villain from Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith, will be joining the roster of Brawlhalla with the game's next major update. This continues Brawlhalla's collaboration with the Star Wars universe, which kicked off in 2024 with the arrival of characters like Han Solo and The Mandalorian.

Brawlhalla's Long History of Crossovers

Brawlhalla is well-known for its impressive lineup of crossover events, featuring legendary franchises such as Assassin’s Creed, Mega Man, Street Fighter, Destiny 2, and Star Wars. In December 2024, the game launched its second Star Wars-themed event, introducing playable versions of Kay Vess, Nix, Han Solo, Chewbacca, The Mandalorian, and Grogu. It's important to note that these characters act as skins for existing fighters rather than introducing new move-sets, though they do come equipped with their signature weapons — including the iconic lightsabers.

New Content Coming with "May the 4th Wave 2"

The upcoming Star Wars event, titled "May the 4th Wave 2," will kick off on April 30. A new trailer released on Brawlhalla's official Twitter account gives players a first look at the new content, which includes:

  • General Grievous as a new playable skin
  • A new Small Theed Generator map
  • The Asgardian Greal Lightsaber
  • A Death Star Hologram Orb
  • And additional Star Wars-themed cosmetics

The trailer also shows General Grievous clashing with other Brawlhalla fighters and confirms that items and characters from the first Star Wars collaboration will return — offering players who missed the previous event a second chance to collect them.

Community Reactions

Fans on Twitter are buzzing with excitement over the addition of General Grievous. However, some players expressed disappointment that characters like Yoda did not make an appearance in Wave 2. For example, Brawlhalla player @ExileBH suggested that Yoda would have been a perfect skin for Wu Shang. Other community members have voiced that they would prefer balance patches over new collaborations.

Nonetheless, Ubisoft and Blue Mammoth Games maintain a steady update schedule for Brawlhalla, so additional gameplay adjustments are likely to arrive in the near future.

More Star Wars Content Coming Soon

After the launch of the "May the 4th Wave 2" event in Brawlhalla, Star Wars fans have even more to look forward to. On May 15, Ubisoft will release the "A Pirate’s Fortune" DLC for Star Wars Outlaws, where players will join Kay Vess and Nix on a brand-new adventure alongside the infamous pirate Hondo Ohnaka.
