Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II Receives Major Update 7.0 “Trygon”

Saber Interactive continues to actively support the hit shooter Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II, delivering new content for fans of the universe. Today, the game received the major Update 7.0, titled Trygon, introducing a brand-new operation, multiplayer improvements, and various balance adjustments.

The main highlight of the patch is the new PvE mission "Exfiltration". In this mission, players will return to the barren planet Avorax to extract a tech-priest who refuses to abandon an Adeptus Mechanicus facility. The evacuation won't be easy, as players will face a new Tyranid boss — the Trygon — which can burrow underground and create tunnels, allowing both itself and smaller creatures to ambush players and complicate the battle.

In addition to the mission, the update includes a range of new content and improvements:

• The Inferno pistol — a new weapon available in both PvE and PvP modes.
• Two new color options for power armor customization.
• Prestige ranks have been unlocked in PvE, offering extended progression opportunities.
• Private lobbies for PvP — allowing players to fully customize their matches: select teams, enable or disable friendly fire, adjust class and time limits, tweak weapon damage modifiers, and more.
• Expanded weapon access for all classes.
• Bolters have been buffed, making them more effective in combat.
• Overhauled weapon perks system — players are free to redistribute their skill points, as some perks have been reworked or entirely replaced.
• Numerous bug fixes and balance improvements.

Additionally, season pass holders are receiving exclusive rewards:

• New skins: Vanguard Space Wolf Champion and Tactical Imperial Fists Champion, featuring unique plasma weaponry.
• Extra Space Wolves-themed cosmetics, including both weapon skins and gear.

Saber Interactive confirmed its long-term commitment to supporting Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II with regular updates for years to come. Meanwhile, the studio has also greenlit the development of a full-fledged third installment, which is currently in the early stages of production.
