Mortal Kombat Mobile Celebrates 10th Anniversary with Major Update, New Fighters, and Special Events

Warner Bros. Games and NetherRealm Studios are marking the 10th anniversary of Mortal Kombat Mobile with a massive content update launching on March 25, 2025. Players can expect two new fighters, exclusive rewards, revamped game modes, and daily gifts—all in honor of a decade of brutal mobile battles.

A Decade of Kombat

First released on May 4, 2015, Mortal Kombat Mobile has become a staple in the fighting game scene, offering fast-paced 3v3 action with a roster that now exceeds 175 characters. From classics like Scorpion and Sub-Zero to newer legends, the game continues to evolve while staying rooted in its rich 30-year franchise legacy.

Two New Fighters Join the Roster: MK1 Geras & Klassic Skarlet

The anniversary update introduces two powerful new characters:

• MK1 Geras – A loyal servant of Liu Kang’s New Era, Geras manipulates time and sand. His Sands of Time passive reduces incoming damage and heals allies, while his Colliding Worlds Fatal Blow throws enemies through a time portal, doubling their pain. He’s unlockable through the Premium or Premium+ tiers of the 10th Anniversary Kombat Pass.

  

• Klassic Skarlet – Inspired by her MK11 Klassic skin, Skarlet uses blood magic to weaken enemies and grow stronger in battle. She can drain life force, boost her own strength, and increase the chance of Unblockable Basic Attacks—making her a deadly asset for Klassic teams. Early access is included in the Premium+ Pass.

  

10th Anniversary Login Event: Free Fighters Every Day

From April 1 to April 10, players can log in daily to claim 10 free fighters during the special 10th Anniversary Login Event. Each character comes with a bit of Mortal Kombat lore, offering fans a mix of nostalgia and power-ups. The full lineup includes:

The familiar Faction Wars mode is getting a major upgrade and will be relaunched as Realm Klash starting March 26, 2025. This remastered mode will feature new visuals, a Realm vs Realm format, and improved top-tier rewards—giving players fresh motivation to climb the leaderboard.

Limited-Time Tower of Time Event

Running until April 10, the Tower of Time event will challenge players with 50 levels of intense combat, including boss fights against MK1 Geras. New equipment can also be unlocked through this event, providing another path to upgrade your roster.

New Brutalities for MK1 Geras and Smoke

To cap off the celebration, Mortal Kombat Mobile is introducing new Brutality finishers for MK1 Geras and Smoke. These devastating attacks can be unlocked by collecting the latest gear added with the anniversary update—perfect for those who like to end fights in style.
