Diablo 4’s Season of Witchcraft Bug Lets Players Deal Trillions of Damage

Diablo 4’s Season of Witchcraft has hit a major snag with a bug affecting the new Decay Augmentation Witchcraft Power. This issue allows top players to deal trillions of damage, instantly deleting the game’s toughest enemies.

The bug revolves around Decay Augmentation, which enables Witchcraft Powers to deal damage over time—such as bleeding, burning, poisoning, or shadow. If this damage exceeds 85% of an enemy's total health, they’re executed. Some players have figured out how to exploit this, with builds that cause so much damage, the game starts displaying negative numbers.

This bug has allowed some players to complete the game’s hardest challenge, Pit level 150, in just 2 minutes and 48 seconds. Mekuna, another top player, showcased a Fireball Sorcerer build clearing Pit 150 but remains unsure if this is a bug or a feature. “Maybe it's a feature, who knows,” they said.

Blizzard has acknowledged the issue, calling it a “high priority” and assuring players they are working on a fix. While this isn’t the first time Diablo 4 has had game-breaking bugs, it’s clear that the Decay Augmentation power is wreaking havoc.

The game also introduced new Witchcraft Powers inspired by Diablo 3’s Witch Doctor and added the Armory feature, which allows for easy gear and skill loadout switching. For now, players will be keeping an eye out for the fix to restore balance.
