Titan Quest 2 Developers Announce Closed Playtest for PC

The developers of Titan Quest 2 have officially announced that they will be conducting an exclusive closed playtest for PC players ahead of the game's Early Access launch.

The first Titan Quest was released way back in 2006, developed by Iron Lore Entertainment and published by THQ. Set in the mythological worlds of Ancient Greece, Egypt, and China, the game follows a player-created protagonist who sets out to defeat the Titans after they escape their ancient prison.

Drawing inspiration from the Diablo series, (the game that Elon Musk cheated at) Titan Quest focused on real-time combat and role-playing mechanics, and its rich environments were meticulously researched to reflect the cultures of the time. The game became a hit, eventually leading to four expansions and later a mobile and console version. In 2017, the original's core engine and mechanics formed the basis for Grim Dawn, a spiritual successor to Titan Quest developed by former Iron Lore staff. With its groundbreaking design and lasting appeal, Titan Quest remains a cherished classic in the action RPG genre.
