The next major update for Baldur's Gate 3 with full Mac support will be released next week
Patch 3 for Baldur's Gate 3 will be released simultaneously with full Mac support, as announced.
Initially, the developers at Larian Studios had hoped to release the Mac version of this role-playing game from early access on September 6, at the same time as the game's release on PlayStation 5.
"Larian is deeply grateful for the tremendous attention you've given to Baldur's Gate 3," the studio said. "Patch 3 will be released on September 21 along with full BG3 support on Mac."
Baldur's Gate 3 has already received two significant updates since its release on PC on August 3.
The delayed Xbox version of Baldur's Gate 3 will arrive later this year after split-screen co-op was removed as a feature for Series S.
Larian recently confirmed that they plan to support cross-play between Baldur's Gate 3 on PC and consoles in the future.
Tom Butler, Vice President of Product at Larian Studios, stated last month that they are discussing the possibility of expanding Baldur's Gate 3 with additional content, but at the moment, their primary focus is on releasing the console version and improving the core game.
"We will continue to release updates for some time, and then we will all take a break and decide on our next steps," he told IGN. "Currently, we are in discussions. We aspire to make significant changes, but specific plans have not yet been finalized."
