The new Nintendo Direct is scheduled for Thursday
Nintendo has announced that the event will take place at 7 AM Pacific Time (PT), 10 AM Eastern Time (ET), 3:00 PM Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), and 4:00 PM Central European Summer Time (CEST). During this event, they will provide approximately 40 minutes of information, primarily focusing on upcoming Nintendo Switch games set to release this winter.
At the previous Nintendo Direct event held in June, they unveiled games such as Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Super Mario RPG, Pikmin 4, and Detective Pikachu Returns, among others.
During the latest financial press conference this month, Nintendo revealed that global sales of the Switch console had reached 129.53 million units by mid-2023.
This achievement was made possible by the release of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, which enabled Nintendo to sell 3.91 million Switch consoles over a three-month period ending in June, marking a 13.9% increase compared to the previous year.
Nintendo anticipates selling 15 million Switch consoles in the current fiscal year, ending on March 31, 2024, representing a 16.5% decrease compared to the previous year.
