The most significant update for Starfield is being delayed
Introducing "over 100 fixes and improvements," the scheduled update was initially set to be released in the Steam beta today before rolling out to all players in two weeks.
"We identified an issue that we want to address before releasing our update into the Steam Beta," Bethesda reported. "We plan to release it later this week, but we'll confirm the timing when we are sure. Thank you for your patience!"
When the update arrives, it will include numerous quest fixes. "Eye of the Storm issues, such as the inability to dock with the Legacy or data transfer not starting, as well as Temples not showing up in Into the Unknown, will no longer hinder Constellation from exploring the cosmos," noted the studio.
The update also promises stability improvements and "numerous graphic enhancements, ranging from additional widescreen support to improved textures, lighting, and shadows."
Additional fixes will address "sun disk geometry, planet ring shadows, bulldozed objects reappearing when returning to an Outpost, ship hatches marked inaccessible, and another fix for asteroids following ships."
Recently, Bethesda announced its intention to regularly introduce significant new features and fixes for the game Starfield approximately every six weeks.
Among the important updates in progress are the introduction of city maps, new methods of travel, and mod support.
