In addition to stability improvements, the update also made changes to the internal list of prohibited words on the console, helping to combat unwanted content.

During the latest financial briefing in August, Nintendo reported that total Nintendo Switch sales had reached an impressive 129.53 million units by mid-2023. However, the company plans to sell 15 million Nintendo Switch consoles in the current fiscal year, which will end in March 2024. This represents a 16.5% decrease compared to the previous year. Nevertheless, Nintendo has confirmed its plans to support the console with new games in the next fiscal year.

There are no official statements from Nintendo regarding the release of the next gaming console, but sources suggest that the company has already sent development kits for the Nintendo Switch 2 to developers, with a planned launch in the second half of 2024. Furthermore, at closed events held during Gamescom, Nintendo showcased technological demonstrations for the future successor to the Nintendo Switch, generating excitement and expectations in the gaming community for an exciting future in the gaming industry.
