Penny Blood: Hellbound will be available in early access in february
Yukikaze, Studio Wildrose, and Natsume Atari have confirmed plans for the release of a game set in the universe of the RPG Penny Blood, funded by the fan community. The full version of the project is expected in the summer of 2024, following a short period of early access on Steam.
The development team includes talents such as Matsuzo Machida (Shadow Hearts) and "industry veterans" from Natsume Atari, aiming to provide players with an opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of Penny Blood before the release of the highly anticipated RPG.
"Step into the shoes of six hyper-powered anarchists in the action-packed roguelike Penny Blood: Hellbound, as you try to escape from a prison like none you've seen before," welcomes the game's description on Steam.
"Die, die again, and collect malice to form alliances with fellow inmates, acquiring new skills and enhancing your abilities as you fight to break free from this extraordinary hellish environment.
"From the dark mastermind of Japanese RPGs, Matsuzo Machida, developed by experienced professionals from Natsume Atari Studios, with artistic styling by Miyako Kato and a new musical atmosphere by Yoshitaka Hirota and Noriyuki Iwadare, immerse yourself in this prehistoric project that serves as the precursor to the highly anticipated game, Penny Blood."
