Fortnite Welcomes Ahsoka Tano: Unleash the Force in Chapter 4, Season 4!

Ahsoka Tano has officially made her debut in Fortnite as part of Chapter 4, Season 4's Battle Pass lineup. The character, once met with skepticism among fans during her initial appearance in the animated Star Wars: The Clone Wars series, went on to become a beloved figure thanks to her character development in both that series and its successor, Star Wars Rebels. Rosario Dawson brought her to live-action life in The Mandalorian's second season, The Book of Boba Fett, and the aptly-titled Ahsoka series.

Throughout the Star Wars universe, Ahsoka Tano has made appearances in various video games, typically as tie-ins to The Clone Wars. She was featured as a playable character in Disney Infinity, added as DLC to last year's LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, and would have been part of a canceled Mustafar-themed expansion for Star Wars Battlefront 2 had EA and developer DICE not ceased support for the game in 2020.

Epic Games had previously announced Ahsoka's inclusion in Fortnite as a playable character skin to coincide with the live-action Ahsoka series. Now, players can obtain the Ahsoka skin by purchasing Chapter 4, Season 4's Battle Pass. Fortnite celebrated Ahsoka's arrival with a post on the official Fortnite Twitter account, which featured a trailer showing her emerging from a portal and igniting her iconic white lightsaber on the Island. In addition to the Ahsoka skin, players can unlock a new Training Lightsaber and engage in a quest line where Ahsoka imparts her knowledge of the Force.

Ahsoka is just one of many Star Wars characters to become playable character skins in Fortnite, a trend that began in 2019. These additions often tie in with recent Disney+ shows, as exemplified by Obi-Wan Kenobi's appearance during his eponymous series last year. Other popular Star Wars/Fortnite skins include Din Djarin from The Mandalorian, Boba Fett and Fennec Shand from The Book of Boba Fett, and Rey and Kylo Ren from the Sequel Trilogy.
