Unveiling the Mastery of Fontaine's Chief Justice Neuvillette in Genshin Impact 4.1
Genshin Impact's latest trailer unveils the gameplay of the upcoming five-star character, Chief Justice Neuvillette, set to arrive with the Version 4.1 update. The beloved RPG from the HoYoverse has significantly expanded its potential roster since the launch of its latest region last month. Version 4.0 introduced three new playable characters: Lyney, Lynette and Freminet, while Fontaine's story's first act introduced characters like Furina, Navia and Clorinde, among others. Now, the Chief Justice of Fontaine is poised to join the game in the forthcoming update.
Although Neuvillette wasn't initially playable upon his introduction in Genshin Impact, he played a pivotal role in Fontaine's storyline as the region's Chief Justice. Neuvillette serves as the head judge of the Opera Epiclese, alongside Fontaine's enigmatic verdict-dispensing apparatus, the "Oratrice Mecanique d'Analyse Cardinale." Players had the opportunity to interact with Neuvillette beyond the courtroom, revealing more of his stoic persona as he investigates the case surrounding Navia's father's death. Now, fans of Neuvillette will soon be able to add the Chief Justice to their roster of characters.
The latest addition to Genshin Impact's "Character Demo" trailers, titled "Neuvillette: Font of All Waters", showcases the regal and majestic gameplay of Fontaine's Chief Justice. Neuvillette wields his cane to manipulate water, featuring a unique Charged Attack that allows him to collect "Sourcewater Droplets" and unleash a powerful Hydro damage beam while moving. His Elemental Skill summons a "Raging Waterfall," inflicting Hydro damage aligned with Fontaine's Arkhe system. His Elemental Burst releases surrounding waves, dealing AoE Hydro damage based on his Max HP.
Neuvillette's introduction in Genshin Impact coincides with widespread speculation about his role in Fontaine's story. His Character Teaser hints at his mysterious past, suggesting long-forgotten memories that may unveil the Chief Justice's true identity. Many speculate that Neuvillette's power might rival that of the Hydro Archon Furina, who holds significant influence over both Furina and Fontaine. Neuvillette will debut in Genshin Impact as a Hydro-element character, wielding a Catalyst as his weapon.
Neuvillette isn't the only new character making an appearance in the Version 4.1 update, as another five-star character, Wriothesley, is set to debut in the update's second half. While he has yet to be showcased in-game, Version 4.1 will introduce players to Wriothesley, the Administrator of Fontaine's Fortress of Meropide. Wriothesley is rumored to be a DPS character and the first Cryo Catalyst character in Genshin Impact's lineup. With Neuvillette and Wriothesley's arrival, Genshin Impact players can look forward to adding a pair of formidable Catalyst characters to their roster.
