The upcoming release of the Phantom Liberty update for Cyberpunk 2077 is accompanied by an increase in system requirements

CD Projekt is making changes to the system requirements of the game Cyberpunk 2077 ahead of the Phantom Liberty update scheduled for September 26. These changes reflect the advancements in hardware over the past three years and the support for new GPU hardware.

The main changes in the requirements include the shift from using a hard disk to requiring an SSD. CD Projekt explains that the game will still function on hard disks, but active support for them will be discontinued.

The updated minimum requirements include a Core i7-6700 or Ryzen 5 1600 processor, GeForce GTX 1060 6GB or Radeon RX 580 8GB or Arc A380 graphics card, 12GB of RAM, and 70GB of free space on an SSD.

The recommended requirements include a Core i7-12700 or Ryzen 7 7800X processor, GeForce RTX 2060 Super or Radeon RX 5700 XT or Arc A770 graphics card, 16GB of RAM, and also 70GB of free space on an SSD.

For ultra-level ray tracing, it is recommended to use a Core i9-12900 or Ryzen 9 7900X processor, GeForce RTX 3080 or Radeon RX 7900 XTX graphics card, 20GB of RAM, and 70GB of NVME storage.

These are the main changes in the system requirements for Cyberpunk 2077, taking into account hardware advancements and the inclusion of SSD usage instead of hard disks.
