At the release of Diablo 4, players will not be able to use the WASD keys for movement
Blizzard has already faced a wave of criticism from players due to controversial decisions regarding Diablo IV, and now fans have found yet another reason for dissatisfaction. It turns out that at the game's release, there won't be support for W, A, S, and D key controls. This information was confirmed by executive producer Rod Ferguson.
When asked about the possibility of WASD control on PC, Ferguson responded negatively and acknowledged that the developers are aware of the negative player reaction. Ferguson advised players to temporarily use a controller, which may suggest future support for WASD controls. Diablo III did not have this movement option, but it was introduced in Diablo Immortal. In June, Diablo IV will have a thematic crossover with Diablo Immortal.
The game is scheduled for release on June 6th for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. Official reviews from critics will be available on May 30th, but for now, players can enjoy the story trailer and video featuring real actors.
