Will there be a remaster of Midnight Club: Los Angeles?

Rockstar Games continues to tolerate leaks of information they are trying to keep under wraps. This time the hero of the occasion was the musician Markus Kienzl, whose tracks sounded in the racing game from the studio that gave us Midnight Club: Los Angeles, the Grand Theft Auto series and other titles.

Marcus announced the possible appearance of his creations in the updated version of Midnight Club: Los Angeles. He did this, of course, in social networks, where at the same time he thanked the creators of the racing arcade game for this opportunity to sound again in the columns of players who will plunge into the world of Los Angeles street racing.

The post with this content was later removed. Most likely, Rockstar Games paid him a courtesy visit, which made it clear to the musician that it is not worth making any announcements yet, and even more so to the musician, and not to the game developer.

This is not the first time that information has appeared on the networks about the possible release of the Midnight Club: Los Angeles remaster from Rockstar Games, but the latter have so far not admitted anything and have not made any announcements.

The developers of Midnight Club: Los Angeles released the game in October 2008. Then the title became a console exclusive, bypassing fans to play on the PC. The game was released on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Playstation Portable. The racing arcade was liked by many and was warmly received by both critics and game journalists, as well as ordinary players.

Many fans of the game are waiting for the continuation and any news from Rockstar Games. The latter did not explain why they stopped releasing games from this franchise.

For a game studio, this is not the only example that a company can abandon its ideas and developments. A similar example is the game Agent. The latter was announced in 2009 and the trademark regularly extended its validity, but already in 2018 it was abandoned and, according to the designers, the game is unlikely to ever be released.
