The developers of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. raised $800,000 to help Ukraine in the war
On February 24, the Russian Federation unleashed a war against Ukraine. Since the start of overt aggression, many Ukrainian cultural figures, game developers, influencers and people with an active civil position have supported Ukraine.
GSC Game World also made a big contribution by raising $800,000 for charity. The promotion was held from April 4 to April 16, and everyone could participate in it: it was enough to buy a bundle of STALKER games at a discount in one of the digital stores or in all at once (Steam, GOG, HumbleBundle, Fanatical, Greenmangaming, GamersGate)
The charity sale of games from GSC Game World has ended. A great reason to be proud of our community. Thank you all! For those who hear the Ukrainians. Those who open their doors to Ukrainians.
Thanks to this sale, there are more Cossacks in the Sich, more stalkers in the Zone, and the Ukrainian people have made new friends who are ready to help them. And we will remember it. Always,” the message says.
Earlier, GSC Game World announced that they would not sell STALKER2 (which was postponed indefinitely due to the war) on the territory of the Russian Federation.
