Fortnite may have new gameplay mechanics

Recently, a new interesting rumor has appeared on the Internet, which has every right to exist and to claim the status of a true insider. A dataminer and part-time insider HYPEX told on Twitter about the likely appearance of sliding systems in the game, such as in Call of Duty Warzone or Apex Legends. If HYPEX turns out to be right, then during this very slide, the players will have an increased field of view by 15 units, and during this action the camera will shake. Slip recovery will be two seconds.

The dataminer and insider did not specify even the approximate dates of the appearance of this mechanic in Fortnite. In addition, he does not know exactly how this action will be implemented. Probably, every hero will be able to slide, or maybe this ability will be available only after a special item is found.

For Epic Games, borrowing ideas from other games is not a unique experience. The developers have repeatedly improved their game by adding mechanics to it that have worked successfully in other titles. Previously, from Apex Legends, which was made by Respawn Entertainment, gameplay mechanics such as ping and beacons of excitement were taken. The latter, by the way, appeared in Fortnite in 2019.

Epic Games recently released a story trailer for Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 8, featuring Carnage and new weapons alongside monsters.
