Troubled but successful nonetheless - Deathloop tops the weekly Steam chart
The game from Arkane Studios has become the leader in the weekly Steam chart. Deathloop is at the same time on the first and third lines. In second place, the title from Arkane Studios left Tales of Arise, and in fourth place was the next battle royale Naraka: Bladepoint. The top 5 popular games from September 13 to September 19 are closed by the second part of Red Dead Redemption. The latter, by the way, is now subject to a 33% discount.
NBA 2K22 opened the second five of the weekly chart and ranked 6th on the list. It is followed by the Timberborn strategy game, the Valve Index VR Kit and the online role-playing game New World. The sensational survival game in the Scandinavian setting Valheim closes the top ten most popular games from September 13 to 16.
Deathloop is a game that was released on September 14th for PC and PlayStation 5. Bethesda Softworks were responsible for distributing the title from Arkane Studio. The announcement of the game took place in 2019 at the E3 exhibition, and the title itself is an action-adventure. In the center of the plot is the dark-skinned mercenary Colte, who has lost his memory and got into a time loop. He is tasked with killing eight targets in one day and breaking the time loop in which he is stuck. If Colt is killed, he will be forced to live his day again until he has killed all eight targets. In addition to ordinary rivals, Colt will get in the way of another character - Julianne, who is an assassin. A special feature of Deathloop is the ability to take control of Julianne by another player and arrange an interesting PVP. The hired hitman's goal is to kill Colt in order not to let him out of the time loop.
Earlier, we talked about the fact that the game was not able to earn an enchanting reaction from the players and, unlike game journalists, ordinary users rated Deathloop not as well as expected. The reason for this was technical problems. You can read more about this in our material.
