eFootball 2026 May Introduce a New Way to Earn Epic Cards

Obtaining Epic cards has always been one of the most exciting aspects of eFootball 2026, whether through saved-up coins or a lucky free pull. A new system, however, may soon offer an alternative method for acquiring high-rated Epic players through a squad-based exchange feature.

Squad Exchange System Could Guarantee Epic Rewards

According to reports, KONAMI is considering the introduction of an exchange-style system in eFootball 2026, inspired by the Squad Building Challenge (SBC) mechanic currently available in the Chinese version of the game. The global version, however, is expected to operate under a different structure.

Rather than submitting individual players or small groups, this system may require the assembly of a full squad of 11 players to complete an exchange. In return, players could receive a high-tier reward, potentially an Epic card. It remains unclear whether the reward would be selectable or randomly drawn from a predefined pool.

The exchange is also expected to include strict requirements. For example, obtaining a Big Time Lionel Messi card could require sacrificing multiple high-value cards, such as several Epic, Show Time, and Featured players. As a result, this system would primarily benefit players with deep collections and surplus high-rated cards.

Similar Systems Already Exist in Other Football Games

A comparable feature is already present in EA Sports FC Mobile, where the Player Exchange system allows unwanted cards to be traded for new rewards. Instead of discarding unused players, they can be recycled into opportunities for better pulls, making progression more structured.

A Potential Alternative to Pack-Based Luck

If implemented effectively, this exchange system could reduce reliance on pack luck and offer a more consistent path toward acquiring top-tier players. It would also encourage long-term engagement by giving value to unused cards and introducing a strategic layer to squad management. As both a collection mechanic and a progression feature, the system could significantly enhance how players interact with eFootball 2026.
