Team Liquid appoints Claire Hunggate as president and chief operating officer

European esports organization Team Liquid appoints Claire Hunggate as the company's new president and chief operating officer.

According to the press release, Hunggate will be leading Liquid's P&L, overall global business strategy and operations, and plans for the organization's expansion, acquisitions, and new revenue streams. She will also oversee the company's ongoing efforts to promote diversity, equity and inclusion.

It is noted that she will operate both in London and at the Alienware EU Training Center in Utrecht, the Netherlands.

Prior to that, Hunggate served as director of the Avalanche Studios Group and chairman of The Nerve, a production music library. In addition, early in her entertainment career, she handled legal and business matters for the BBC, Princess Productions and Wall to Wall Media.

In addition to the Hunggate appointment, Team Liquid promoted Boudewijn Kreen from Director to VP of Fan Management, increasing his responsibility for the development of the Liquid + platform. Kreen will also work under the direction of Hunggate.
