Evil Geniuses signed an agreement with Cxmmunity
North American esports organization Evil Geniuses has announced a partnership with cxmmunity, an Atlanta-based non-profit company focused on increasing minority participation and representation in esports.
As a result of the agreement, Evil Geniuses has established direct relationships with several student groups at colleges and universities (HBCUs) throughout the United States.
Under the newly formed partnership, Evil Geniuses will ensure that 25% of candidates for the Genius League, the organization's professional internship program, will be introduced to candidates from Hbcu who will be embraced by this relationship.
The Genius League Internship Program is a development initiative that educates college students in the professional requirements of managing the various departments of a top-tier esports organization.
The inclusion of HBCU candidates in the Genius League is one of many aspects formalized in the framework of the cooperation. Other initiatives include virtual events on campus, with other events to be announced and rolled out throughout 2021.
According to the press release, several Genius League candidates have already crossed over and made the leap from college trainee to full-time staff at Evil Geniuses since its inception last year.
