The Saudi Arabian prince has taken the position of president at the International Esports Federation
His Royal Highness Prince Faisal was elected as the President of the International Esports Federation during the Extraordinary General Assembly held in Busan, South Korea, today. He secured 71 votes in favor, constituting 98.6%, and his presidential tenure will extend until 2025.
His Royal Highness Prince Faisal was appointed as the Acting President of the International Esports Federation on October 3, 2023, following the former President Vlad Marinescu's decision to step down. His Royal Highness Prince Faisal has played a pivotal role in advancing esports in Saudi Arabia and will aid the IESF in its mission to promote sustainable and responsible gaming worldwide.
His Royal Highness Prince Faisal stated: "I am honored to lead the International Esports Federation into a new era of collaboration, innovation, and global recognition. Esports has the power to bring people together from all corners of the world through a shared love for gaming. IESF will conclude an eventful year with the World Esports Summit scheduled for November 28 and 29 in Busan, South Korea. His Royal Highness Prince Faisal is set to participate in a panel discussion, providing an insider's view into hosting the world's largest esports events. The World Esports Summit is open to the public with a live audience.
