As reported by sources, two sports magnates are vying to acquire FaZe
According to information from sportsbusinessjournal, citing their own sources, due to financial difficulties of the FaZe club, two esports giants from America may be considering acquiring it. Companies Gamesquare and Enthusiast Gaming have submitted their proposals. Both companies are owned by sports magnates.
Gamesquare is owned by Jerry Jones, the owner of the NFL team Dallas Cowboys, and the company has the esports club Complexity in its portfolio. Enthusiast Gaming is owned by Francesco Aquilini, the owner of the NHL team Vancouver Canucks, as well as several esports websites and the club Luminosity Gaming.
After the IPO in 2022, the value of FaZe was estimated at 725 million dollars, but subsequently, their shares sharply declined in value, and they are now worth less than a dollar per share. It was previously announced that the club had funds only until the end of the year.
