AfreecaTV partners with Talon Esports
Hong Kong esports organization Talon Esports has announced a partnership agreement with the AfreecaTV platform. As part of the deal, the parties will produce content for the club's VALORANT roster, which is one of ten partners in the Asian league. Talon Esports will reportedly be creating exclusive content on the platform throughout the VCT 2023 season, which includes parties and social events.
We are thrilled to partner with AfreecaTV to help bring the home brand to Thailand. At the heart of Talon Esports, we consistently strive to provide value and entertainment to our passionate fans. With AfreecaTV's vast knowledge of content creation, this partnership will provide our fans with new, exciting ways to support our team, wherever they are in the world.
Sean Zhang, CEO of Talon Esports
The deal will kick off with VALORANT Champions Tour 2023: LOCK//IN São Paulo, which kicked off in Brazil the day before. Here, Talon Esports is preparing for the first match against the MIBR team. It is expected that the first content will be produced as part of this championship.
AfreecaTV is proud to support the talented Talon Esports team and showcase the best in esports and original content to the Thai gaming community. We're committed to bringing the energy and excitement of VALORANT to fans in Thailand and providing the VALORANT community with new ways to support and cheer on their Talon Esports heroes.
Farafatr Yasinporn, director of AfreecaTV in Thailand
Note that the creation of content was one of the points that Riot Games was guided by when choosing partners for their leagues. Thus, we can say that the Talon Esports organization was one of the first to justify the trust of the developers.
