Riot Games announce Wild Rift tournament
The developers of League of Legends and its mobile version Wild Rift announced the championship, which will be held with the participation of 8 teams.
More than a month after the end of the largest Wild Rift championship, Icons Global Championship 2022 with a prize pool of $2,000,000, Riot Games is ready to announce a new event. Wild Circuit Asia Invitational 2022 will have a more modest prize pool, but the list of participants should be of interest to those who like to watch Wild Rift championships.
The tournament will be held for teams from the Asian division. Teams from Korea, Southeast Asia and even Japan will compete in it. The event positions itself as an introductory tournament before the start of the new Wild Rift 2022/2023 competitive season.
The desire to hold a championship for teams from the above countries was caused by the good results shown by the teams of the eastern direction at the past Icons Global Championship 2022. By the way, the teams of the exclusively Asian division have completely established themselves in the top 8.
The group stage will be held from September 5 to 7, and the playoffs will take place on September 8-9. The championship will be held online.
