Organization ORDER suspends its activities due to financial difficulties
According to TheAustralian, Australian esports organization ORDER is suspending its activities due to financial difficulties. The problems with financing the club began after the departure of several large investors. The relevant information was confirmed by the eSports director of the club, Chris Orfanellis.
I'm not going to use this post to talk about ORDER as a business, but just to say that the business is up for sale and not completely dead yet. I use this to thank the wonderful people who have worked for ORDER and the players who have represented ORDER. We've had superstars working in sales and partnerships, creative and content, operations, events and esports.
I have been tasked with building the best esports team the office has ever seen, and as this news breaks, I reflect on the great players, coaches, and support staff who have represented us. These are the best of the best players and employees, and any organization, local or international, should take notice.
According to TheAustralian, a key part of ORDER's growth strategy this year has been the launch of its own clothing line and the signing of several popular content creators. However, these plans could not be realized, as a result of which investors stopped their financing.
It is reported that ORDER is currently unable to pay wages to its players in five disciplines - CS:GO, VALORANT, League of Legends, FIFA and Fortnite. The organization has already been put up for sale in search of interested parties.
Interestingly, just a few months ago, the ORDER organization signed the Australian CS:GO roster of Renegades. According to the journalists' report, this team costs the club $750,000 a year.
