BIG renews partnership with HP OMEN for a fifth year
German esports organization BIG has announced a new partnership with the HP OMEN brand for its fifth year. The parties will reportedly cooperate to encourage diversity and talent development in the esports environment. An important part of the agreement is the further expansion of the BIG OMEN Academy project.
Daniel Finkler, CEO of BIG: "For over four years, OMEN has been an incredibly important pillar as a partner of BIG and has made a significant contribution to our development. I am pleased that we were able to expand our joint cooperation once again. In the future, we will increasingly support talented women gamers to enable them to realize their dream of a professional career in esports, OMEN will act as a partner and sponsor as an important driving force behind this new chapter."
As part of the renewed partnership, the OMEN brand will continue to sponsor BIG professional CS:GO, League of Legends, Trackmania and VALORANT teams, as well as the co-founded BIG OMEN Academy team. The academy project is also considered one of the best programs in the world and a springboard for young talents on the professional stage.
Jochen Ziegler, Director of Personal Systems Marketing at HP: "Diversity is part of HP's corporate DNA - both globally and nationally, there are many equal opportunity and diversity initiatives. I'm all the more excited that we now have the opportunity to bring together our pioneering role in both diversity and sponsorship of esports and to promote female talent alongside BIG. We are confident and excited and keep our fingers crossed for BIG EQUIPA on their journey to professional careers."
Note that this is the second expansion of the partnership for the OMEN brand in 2022. In June, the brand renewed its contract with Belong Gaming Arenas, an esports and gaming technology subsidiary of Vindex.
In turn, during the first half of 2022, BIG extended partnerships including die Bayerische, Volvic, Backforce and Streamcoi.
