Submarino Becomes a Sponsor of VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Brazil
Publisher Riot Games has announced a sponsorship deal with Brazilian e-commerce brand Submarino. As part of the collaboration, the company will become a sponsor of the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Brazil.
In addition, Submarino will also be featured as a sponsor of VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Game Changers, Riot Games' program to promote and empower women in esports.
Vitor Monte, Head of Marketing at Submarino: "Sponsoring such an important esports championship as the VCT is an incredible opportunity for Submarino, as the universe of games and technology is in our DNA. We recognize Brazil as a great power in this segment, so we increasingly want to serve as a reference point for an audience of gaming and esports enthusiasts at all times that are associated with this lifestyle."
This is Submarino's latest effort in the esports sector. Perhaps the brand's most high-profile esports partnership was with Brazilian organization LOUD last year. At the same time, LOUD herself recently became the second in the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Stage 1 Masters - Reykjavík.
Carlos Antunes, Representative of Riot Games in Brazil: "This partnership not only shows how brands are becoming more aware of the relevance of games and their universe of possibilities, but also the great potential of Brazil in esports from Riot Games."
Submarino is a brand owned by the B2W group. The group also has esports ties to one of their other brands and Lojas Americanas currently sponsors Los Grandes.
The deal was cleared by marketing agency Druid, who also helped produce the video announcing the partnership.
