Sahara Became the Winner of Capcom Cup 12 and Won $1 Million

From March 11 to March 14, 2026, one of the main tournaments in Street Fighter 6, Capcom Cup 12, took place. A total of 48 participants competed for the champion title and the main prize of $1 million. The winner was Japanese player Sahara, who represents GOOD8 SQUAD. In the grand final, he defeated French esports player Kilzyou with a score of 5:1.

During the playoffs, Sahara demonstrated very stable gameplay:

  • Quarterfinal — defeated Xerna (5:0)
  • Semifinal — defeated Blaz (5:3)
  • Grand Final — defeated Kilzyou (5:1)

In the match for third place, Chilean player Blaz defeated Japanese player Higuchi with a score of 5:3.

The total prize pool of the tournament was $1,282,000. According to the rules, most of the money was awarded to the top finishers:
