Pain reliever Voltaren becomes a sponsor of PSG.LGD, Invictus Gaming and Vici Gaming
The Voltaren pain reliever brand sponsors three Chinese Dota 2 teams: PSG.LGD, Invictus Gaming and Vici Gaming. It is noted that all three teams will perform in October at The International with a prize pool of $ 40 million.
Financial terms of the deals were not disclosed. The deal was closed by the Chinese office of the manufacturer Voltaren (GlaxoSmithKline).
The drug brand is no stranger to esports: Voltaren has in the past sponsored the Dota 2 Chengdu Major hosted by the Chinese organizer Mars Media. In addition, in 2020, the brand began partnering with Uzi, a professional League of Legends player, who shot a 10-second commercial promoting the drug.
Large-scale sponsorship of three teams at once serves as a clear confirmation of the effectiveness of promoting the drug among the gaming audience.
