B8 Esports midleader and team founder Danil 'Dendi' Ishutin announced on his Twitter account that he is now being treated for COVID-19.
He called the virus "a dastardly bastard who could not get hold of Danil in 2020, but fixed it in 2021." Ishutin also said that he feels strange, but in general is in perfect order.
B8 Esports became one of the participants in the Decider Tournament, a closed qualifying round for the first DPC 2021 season in the CIS region. The team received a direct invitation, just like the other seven participants in the selection.
