Majors eventsFollowing the release of the major update 7.36, which introduced new mechanics, Dota 2 saw a significant increase in its peak online player count, rising by approximately 194,000 players.
On May 22, Dota 2 had a peak of 716,000 users. This number surged to 910,000 on May 23, the day the update was released.
