LGD Gaming Shakes Up Dota 2 Roster: Setsu Takes the Midlane Spotlight as Emo Bids Farewell!
LGD Gaming has undergone a change in its main Dota 2 roster by parting ways with Zhou "Emo" Yi. Gao "Setsu" Zhenxiong has been introduced as their new midlaner, as revealed through their social media channels.
Setsu, although not extensively active in the professional scene in recent years, has participated in recent qualifiers with Titan. His prior stint with Vici Gaming in 2023 saw him compete in only two DPC Tours. Notably, Setsu spent the entirety of 2022 on the bench at Royal Never Give Up.
The ESL One Birmingham 2024 closed qualifiers for China will mark Setsu's debut with LGD Gaming. In this tournament, only one team will secure a spot through the qualifiers.
Emo, who had been a part of LGD Gaming since late November 2023, made appearances at ESL One Kuala Lumpur, where his team secured a 9th-10th place finish. The squad also contended in the DreamLeague Season 22 qualifiers but fell short just one step away from qualification.
