Ame reported on the financial difficulties of LGD Gaming
Chinese esports player Wang "Ame" Chunyu has expressed concerns about the financial difficulties faced by the LGD Gaming team in financing their Dota 2 roster. He shared this information during his personal livestream, and it was subsequently posted on the Twitter account CN Dota In A Nutshell.
Chunyu has doubts about LGD Gaming's ability to assemble a second roster, as he believes that the organization is "not even able to pay their main team's salaries."
It appears that LGD Gaming's financial troubles began after the conclusion of their partnership with the football club "Paris Saint-Germain." This separation occurred just a month before The International 2023. The collaboration between LGD Gaming and the French club had lasted for six years.
It's worth noting that LGD Gaming secured third place at TI12, earning at least 8% of the prize pool, which amounts to a minimum of $256,000. The team's next significant event is likely to be the ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 tournament.
