Wildcard Gaming support was dissatisfied with the number of foreigners in North America
Sammyboy, who is a Wildcard Gaming support, was unhappy with the number of foreigners in North America. The 23-year-old American urged Valve to reconsider its policy, as the current state of affairs harms the development of the region due to the abundance of foreign players.
I want to ask Valve to introduce some kind of regional pinning in the future and be sure to penalize teams if they don't bring players to the region for DPC. It is very important that we have teams that play public and HF in our region. It looks like once again EG/TSM bring 3 players in to play in our pubs for 2 weeks and then they leave and don't train with other US teams at all.
Initially, Wildcard Gaming was supposed to consist of 4/5 European players, who would also all fly to America to compete for 3 weeks and fly back. I think it hurts the North American scene and shouldn't be allowed.
Perhaps, there is some truth in the words of the cybersportsman, because in the past off-season, many teams from North America brought a large number of foreigners.
