JerAx steps down as Team Liquid coach
JerAx announced his resignation as the coach of Team Liquid and suspended his career. The 30-year-old Finnish specialist announced this on his Twitter, sharing his emotions about being in a new position for himself.
I am very happy that I got to work as a coach in Team Liquid. I had no experience in this position, but I was given maximum confidence and opportunity. The players and staff made me feel at home from day one and allowed me the freedom to look for ways to help the team. We've had a tough season. He made us constantly look at what we are doing and make adjustments.
While here, I have had mixed feelings about what I do. I was out of my element. Not because of the team, not because of my coaching, but because I don't enjoy the game as much as I used to. It was difficult for me to come to this realization because I have so many deep memories associated with this game, and I met so many wonderful people along the way.
In the future, I will play a lot of games. Now I'm interested in how you can develop your playing skills and practice in order to play better. I'm doing an experiment on myself right now, playing Age of Empires 2, one of my first PC games. I will start playing Escape from Tarkov soon and maybe someday I will play Ashes of Creation.
I wish all the best to the new Team Liquid roster and the other teams that will compete in the coming season. I'm looking forward to tournament games. With a smile on my face, I look at N0tail, Ceb and Topson playing together again.
Recall that JerAx headed Team Liquid last summer, trying on the role of a coach for the first time. Together with him, the team took part in the Riyadh Masters 2022 (9th-10th place), PGL Arlington Major 2022 (9th -12th place) and ESL One Malaysia 2022 (11th-12th place). In addition, he managed to help Team Liquid take third place in The International 2022.
From now on, the only coach of the Swedish team will be Blitz, who has been working at the club since October 2019. Together with him and the new midlaner Nisha, the Liquids will begin preparations for the first round of DPC 2022/2023 for Western Europe.
