Rumors: Dota 2 Majors to be held in Peru, Poland and Indonesia in 2023

According to the GosuGamers portal, Valve has already decided on the venues for the final Dota 2 tournaments in the 2023 season. The Major will visit Peru for the first time, and will also be held in Poland and Indonesia.

The first final tournament will be held in Lima, then the best teams following the results of the second round will go to Katowice, Poland, and the cycle will end in Bali, Indonesia. In addition, the dates of the tournaments are already known: the race for DPC points and a potential passage to The International 2022 will begin on December 11 this year with open qualifiers for the winter tour

In addition to GosuGamers, the information is indirectly confirmed by Vitaliy Volochay, aka v1lat. The Ukrainian lighting talent in his telegram channel called the venues an interesting choice from Valve.

If the information is confirmed, next year promises to be innovative, at least in terms of venues for the final tournaments. Previously, major-level championships were not held in South America and in vain.

The region is on the rise, as evidenced by the performance of the local teams at The International 2022. In the main tournament of the year, 3 teams from South America made it to the top 16, and two of them, Beastcoast and Thunder, reached the TOP 8 and TOP 6 respectively.
