lou risks missing PGL Arlington Major 2022
Chinese esports organization Xtreme Gaming has reported on social media that its Dota 2 player lou has once again failed his visa interview for the United States of America. As a result, the 20-year-old Chinese esportsman risks missing the PGL Arlington Major 2022, which starts next month.
It's a pity, but lou was denied a US visa for the second time. The embassy officer asked about the purpose of the visit and read the invitation letter from the organizers of the competition, after which he still refused to issue a document on the basis that B1/B2 visas cannot be used to participate in a Dota 2 tournament. Postscript: all foreign players apply for B1/visas B2.
Recall that lou has already managed to get a visa denial at the first interview, which took place last week. During the conversation, the Chinese player was asked if he had ever traveled abroad, to which he answered "No" and was denied without further explanation. It was later revealed that lou had once traveled to the Philippines, but was unable to provide proof as he had previously damaged his passport.
Note that other Chinese teams Royal Never Give Up and Team Aster also risk going to PGL Arlington Major 2022 with substitutions. Some players simply cannot get a visa to the United States.
lou has been playing for Xtreme Gaming since January 2022. In seven months, a 20-year-old Chinese player helped the team win OGA Dota PIT Season 6: China, as well as get into the TOP-3 at DPC CN 2021/2022 Tour 2: Division I, DPC CN 2021/2022 Tour 2: Regional Final and DPC CN 2021/2022 Tour 3: Division I.
Recall that the Chinese teams missed the last ESL One Stockholm Major 2022 due to a large-scale lockdown in the country. The upcoming PGL Arlington Major 2022 will take place from August 4 to 14 in the USA at Esports Stadium Arlington.
