DPC 2021/2022 Tour 2 for Eastern Europe canceled

Valve has made an official announcement announcing the cancellation of DPC 2021/2022 Tour 2 for Eastern Europe. Valve noted that the decision to cancel the league in the first place is due to the fact that participants from Eastern Europe need to focus on their safety.

The war in Ukraine has brought terrible suffering. We do not see an opportunity to hold an Eastern Europe league in the foreseeable future, so we are very sorry to postpone the spring tour in one of the most vibrant and legendary regions. Under these circumstances, Epic Esports Events, on its own initiative, reached out to us and waived the rights to coverage of the league in Eastern Europe in order for players, teams, and the community to focus on their safety.

Some players from Eastern Europe asked us to continue the league. We believe that this is currently not possible. However, we contacted all teams and players in the league to find out the personal situation of each participant and to understand if there are possible options for the league.

We sincerely hope that we can return to the international public, and above all we wish safety to our friends in the affected regions.

The spring season of Dota Pro Circuit 2021/2022 in Eastern Europe was supposed to take place from March 14 to April 24 and end with a major in mid-May. However, at the end of February, the organizers announced the postponement of the championship for an indefinite period.

Recall that the first season of Dota Pro Circuit 2021/2022 was held online from November 29 to January 23. Due to the coronavirus situation, Valve canceled the first major and organized regional finals, the winners of which were Team Spirit, BOOM Esports, TSM FTX, PSG.LGD, Gladiators and beastcoast.
