Rumble and Tether Launch Non-Custodial Crypto Wallet for Content Creators

Rumble, a YouTube competitor with 68 million monthly users, together with Tether, officially announced the launch of Rumble Wallet, a non-custodial crypto wallet integrated directly into the Rumble platform. This move allows bloggers and content creators to receive rewards in cryptocurrency, eliminating intermediaries such as ad networks, banks, or payment processors.

At the initial stage, the wallet supports Tether (USDT), Tether Gold (XAUt), and Bitcoin (BTC), enabling the audience to send tips to creators directly in crypto. Integration with MoonPay provides convenient on- and off-ramps for cryptocurrency, supporting traditional payment methods like credit cards, Apple Pay, PayPal, and Venmo. This makes payments fast, borderless, and independent of traditional financial systems.

According to Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino, this wallet embodies the ideals of freedom, decentralization, and free speech, giving millions of users more control than any other platform. Rumble, which positions itself as a "freedom-first" platform, already has a loyal audience, and this launch is part of a broader strategy following Tether's $775 million investment at the end of 2024.

Analysts note that Rumble's shares (NASDAQ: RUM) rose after the announcement, highlighting market interest in integrating crypto into the creator economy. In the future, the wallet is planned to be expanded, making it the first real application of the Tether Wallet Development Kit (WDK), with a focus on decentralizing the internet.

This launch comes amid growing interest in cryptocurrencies in the media industry, where platforms are seeking alternatives to centralized systems.

Rumble Wallet could become a competitor to giants like Coinbase, especially in the segment of non-custodial wallets for Bitcoin and stablecoins. For creators, this means instant payments in stable assets or Bitcoin, enhancing direct interaction with the audience.
