The era of Web3 education begins

Web3 has seen strong growth in recent years and is still going strong, so it deserves a lot of attention. Blockchain, cryptocurrency, NFT, all of these need to be democratised so that even the most inexperienced don't get lost. These emerging technologies offer new opportunities, but there are also scams out there. Because of growing demand, training courses are multiplying.

The emergence of Web3 training courses

Five years ago, the Web3 training landscape was barren. Jérémy Wauquier, founder of France's first blockchain school, Alyra, can testify to this. Today, the situation has changed radically. More and more training courses are emerging on both sides of the internet, as well as in major educational institutions. The main focus is, of course, web3, including blockchain, which continues to develop, cryptocurrencies, which have found their audience (online foreign exchange services, Belgian casinos, shops, etc.) and NFTs, which can be worth millions. It's a spectacular turnaround and a sign of the potential seen in these technologies by the academic and professional world.

The online education model for blockchain

The online education model has proven its effectiveness for teaching blockchain and cryptos. Alyra, for example, has trained 1,500 students remotely over three years, offering courses in blockchain consulting, blockchain development and decentralised finance consulting. Online courses are proving to be an inclusive and accessible learning tool, requiring no specific skills or academic level. Students have the freedom to choose when and where they want to study, which is perfectly suited to a sector as dynamic and constantly evolving as the Web3. It's proof that digital and education are fields that complement each other perfectly.

The challenges of distance learning

Despite the advantages of online education, dropping out is a challenge. Drop-out rates are often higher in distance learning courses. This problem could be due to the absence of direct social interaction, or to the need for greater discipline and personal motivation. This is a point that needs to be improved if students are to be successful in their studies. Self-motivation and support are key elements in successful online learning. Every effort must be made to improve the distance learning experience and ensure that students are successful in their studies.

Working with the public sector

In the case of Alyra, it did not succeed alone. The school had the support of Pôle Emploi and the Paris City Council from the outset. These collaborations underline the importance of involving public players in the Web3 ecosystem, as they play a key role in supporting the development of these new skills. They also demonstrate the role of public institutions in promoting and supporting innovative initiatives.

Financing web3 training courses

The cost of training can be an obstacle for some people. However, funding solutions do exist. Tuition fees at Alyra, for example, can be paid for by Pôle Emploi, the student's company, the CPF account, and others. This shows that Web3 training is not just for the elite, but accessible to anyone who wants to learn.

The future of Web3 training

The Web3 education sector is evolving rapidly. Training courses continue to develop and diversify to meet the growing demand for skills in blockchain and cryptocurrency. Web3 education is therefore gearing up for a new school year, full of opportunities for learners. The Web3 era has only just begun, and its transformation of education is underway. The future promises to be exciting with the arrival of new technologies and the expansion of the Web3 ecosystem.
