Toyota is considering the introduction of Web3-technologies in business

Representatives of the Japanese automaker Toyota announced that they are looking for developers from the Web3-technologies sector who can help the company enter this area.

Toyota intends to hold a Web3 hackathon for all developers who want to work in an automotive company. Developers from various decentralized autonomous organizations will be able to take part in this event.

The hackathon will be hosted by Astar, a company known for developing smart contracts and decentralized applications. Sota Watanabe, founder of Astar, says that the goal of the Web3 hackathon is to develop a tool in the form of a DAO PoC. In other words, the application will be designed for Toyota in the form of a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) implementation, and the work will be done on the Proof-of-Concept algorithm.

The hackathon itself among Web3 application developers will be held in the Astar metaverse. Product developers will use the first-level blockchain developed by Astar for their purposes.

According to Sota Watanabe, Toyota has problems with increasing the burden on managers due to the emergence of new projects and the constant growth of the team. For this reason, Astar will be assisting the Japanese automaker with the implementation of the DAO concept, which is unusual for them. Thus, from a centralized Toyota company, they can make a bias towards decentralization, which is at the head of the ideology of the entire cryptocurrency industry.

Toyota provides great motivation for developers who are going to take part in the hackathon. The company undertakes to pay $100,000 to the winner for the development of the project. The Japanese car manufacturer is actively looking for solutions to help them in their operations.

Previously, the French from Renault were able to achieve a similar result. The latter created their own world's first industrial metaverse, which will now help them with the implementation of the production process, since the metaverse was made according to real prototypes of existing factories.

It seems that the Japanese company was inspired by such an example and now also wants to do something similar.

U.S. GPU manufacturer Nvidia previously gave its forecast for 2023. According to them, more and more automakers will appear in the world who want to join the Web3-technologies sector and be part of the world of metaverses.
